  • Day 1 Kangerlussuaq

Our optional Air & Ground package provides a convenient arrival. Our charter flight takes you from Keflavik in Iceland to Kangerlussuaq in Greenland. Then we transfer you to the port, where the SEAVENTURE anchors. Embarkation is conducted via our Zodiac boats. Your adventure journey begins in the evening.

For individual arrival to Iceland: Please check the details for the charter flight from Keflavik to Kangerlussuaq with our office before booking your international flight.

  • Day 2 Iginniarfik

Iginniarfik was founded in 1850 as a trading post. The approximately 60 inhabitants still live from fishing and hunting today. Thanks to the connection to the mainland, the inhabitants can go reindeer hunting in summer and take long trips with their dog sleds in winter. The famous polar explorer Knud Rasmussen paid regular visits to the village on his numerous Greenland expeditions.

  • Day 3 Eqi Glacier

On our third day of the cruise, you have the unique opportunity to observe an active glacier calving. Eqip Sermia, the Greenlandic name for the Eqi Glacier, is the most active glacier in Greenland. Keeping a safe distance, we take the Zodiac to the impressive edge of the glacier to experience first-hand how huge chunks of ice thunder into the sea (optional).

  • Day 4 Uummannaq

On a small island, about 500 km north of the Arctic Circle, lies Uummannaq, one of the most beautiful towns in Greenland. The picturesque surroundings also feature a heart-shaped mountain that towers 1,175 m above the town. The sights of Uummannaq are explored on a city walk (optional), while an optional hike takes you to Santa's summer house.

  • Day 5 Qasigiannguit

Qasigiannquit offers a unique insight into everyday life in Greenland hundreds of years ago. It is home to the Living Settlement Project which sees museum volunteers work throughout the year to re-gain and perfect the skills their ancestors used to survive Greenland’s harsh climate. These traditions are then brought to life in summertime exhibitions and re-enactments that are the focus of the otherwise modern town.

  • Day 6 Aasiaat/Kangaatsiaq

In the morning we reach the village of Aasiaat. Here you have the opportunity to try local specialties (optional) like seal or musk oxen and you can explore the small town, which is characterized by local artists and galleries, on a city walk (optional). Later that day, we reach Kangaatsiaq, the smallest town in Greenland. To the east of Kangaatsiaq, a 150 km long fjord system comprises countless islands, inlets and bays. These sheltered waters are perfect for exploring by Zodiac. Whether on the water or on land, keep an eye out for the numerous wild animals in the region. Reindeer, Arctic foxes, arctic hares and many different bird species can be found in the hinterland of Kangaatsiaq.

  • Day 7 Ittileq

The village of Itilleq is located on the Davis Strait. As the northern arm of the Labrador Sea, this strait stretches from the center of Greenland to parts of Nunavut, Canada. The glacier fields that stretch along the Davis Strait are a breathtaking sight. They may not be the largest glaciers in Greenland, but their sheer number is still impressive. On a Zodiac tour (optional), we explore the unique surroundings just north of the Arctic Circle.

  • Day 8 Kangerlussuaq

We are back in Kangerlussuaq in the early morning. Now it is time to say goodbye to the SEAVENTURE. Our charter flight will take you back from Greenland to Iceland in the early evening. Take a look at our Air & Ground package to enjoy a comfortable journey home.
